How do the people really feel about the immigration issue?

Dear Editor,

Re.: "Standing firm in opposition to illegals...", April 27, 2006, pA14

Contrary to the notion that few Americans are concerned about current immigration is the fact that polls repeatedly demonstrate Americans want
immigration, legal and not, significantly reduced.

What is wanted is lawful and responsible immigration and lawbreakers appropriately sanctioned and removed.

A myth exposed, the good news was the statement that we are NOT a nation of immigrants. We are a nation of American citizens.

Now, if only if the Star Tribune would stop giving space to Katherine Fennelly's woefully unsupported and mean spirited allegations.
