Whereas, the legislature and citizens of Arizona have passed a state law to make it a crime to reside in Arizona as an illegal alien; and
Whereas, illegal immigration (so-called) into Minnesota has increased dramatically; and
Whereas, the influx of illegal aliens into the State of Minnesota has greatly increased the cost to taxpayers for welfare, health, and educational benefits; and
Whereas, illegal aliens have an adverse impact on our state employment; and
Whereas, an increasing number of illegal aliens are involved in ID theft, lucrative drug trafficking, and street/criminal gangs and are responsible for the higher per capita murder rate in our communities; and
Whereas, illegal aliens have killed and injured an increasing number of lawful Minnesota citizens in vehicle accidents;
We, the undersigned, duly petition our State Legislators to both sponsor and support in the 2011 session of the Minnesota Legislature a bill or bills that reflect the intent of the Arizona law.
This petition originated by Minuteman Patriots of Iowa.
