I have spent my whole life defending this Constitutional Republic and make no apologies for it. I pray for the vigilant few who continue to stand for freedom and moral values. SB1070, THE FREEDOM TO CARRY ACT, CASTLE DOCTRINE, SELFDEFENSE DISPLAY, I WROTE PROP. 107 TO STOP GOVERNMENT DISCRIMINATION BY ELIMINATING AFFIRMATIVE ACTION IN ARIZONA, just to name a few.

I spent most of my career in law enforcement and as a Judge. I have been shot at and missed and shot at and hit (critically wounded), I have two boys in law enforcement, one of them also has been critically wounded in the line of duty (shot by an illegal alien). Enough is enough.

I am one of 13 children (a blended family) and Wife , Luanne is one of 7 children , we have five children and 14 grandchildren.

I am A fifth generation Arizonan. Spent 23 years with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, achieving the rank of Chief Deputy under Sheriff Joe.

Shot and critically wounded in the line of duty, was nominated Deputy of the Year five times, I was recipient of the Medal of Valor (highest award given in law enforcement for exceptional bravery); Chief Deputy of the fourth largest Sheriff’s office and county jail in the nation, responsible for many innovations including the ”Tent City” for prisoners that continues to save taxpayers millions of dollars in construction costs and makes sure the ”NO Vacancy” never goes up.

Director of Arizona’s Motor Vehicle Division, eliminated more than 3 million transactions each year, and reduced waiting time from over two hours to less than 20 minutes (saved over $10 million annually in admin costs), and did this with no budget increase. Created “SERVICE ARIZONA” over 2 million transactions annually. Saving over $10 annually.

My son Sean Pearce a Deputy Sheriff, was also shot and critically wounded in the line of duty, by an illegal alien while serving a homicide warrant on an illegal alien on Dec. 16, 2004. He was shot in the chest and stomach. He was critically wounded, but has recovered and has been released back to work full time. What made this so unusual was that I was at the Brookings Institute in D.C. talking about our nation’s failed immigration policies in Washington D.C. standing at the podium when I was handed a note, stating, ”There is an emergency at home, call immediately.” I stepped off the stage, found a phone and called home to find that our son had been critically shot by an illegal alien as they were serving homicide warrants and he was being Air-Evacuated to a hospital in critical condition.
