the Family, Friends, Communities and Loved Ones ….of those lost, those murdered to due to the inaction to enforce our current
immigration laws and secure the border.
NOT ONLY are the victims themselves, pushed to the back of many minds - by so many……….BUT … THOSE LEFT BEHIND as well.
It is hard for many of those continuing dealing with the loss of a loved due to illegal immigration whether recent or in years past…..
to hear TODAY - the pandering, the gift giving, the proposed suggestions and legislation of Amnesty - like BONNIE EGGLE -
leaving them to wonder and wrestle with questions of why, whether the losses and sacrifices of their loved ones are taken into
consideration - if their deaths matter.
This elevated pandering- instead of enforcing the Rule of Law and securing our borders … brings to the fore-front AGAIN and AGAIN
(and in many cases….painfully) the loss of so many.

Fueled by anguish and outrage at the circumstances of their son’s death, Bob and Bonnie Eggle became border control activists. They appeared on national television shows with Bill O’Reilly, Shawn Hannity and Phil Donahue to raise public awareness of their son’s sacrifice in defense of our borders. Bob testified before Congress.
Kris was a young man of amazing accomplishments. Raised in the small town of Cadillac , Michigan, Kris became an Eagle Scout, a National Honor Society Student, and graduated from Cadillac High School as Valedictorian in 1991. Kris was a member of the cross-country and track teams at Cadillac High School where he won numerous awards at the local and state level, then went on to run for the University of Michigan cross-country team.
Kris was aiming for a future with the National Park Service, and in 1995, he accepted a Student Conservation Association position at Great Smoky Mountains National Parktracking wild boar and bears. He served as a US Park Ranger at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and Canyonlands National Park before arriving at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in 2000. He was elected president of his class at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center where he graduated in June of 2002 at the top of his class and was awarded the National Park Service Director’s Award for outstanding achievement. He always took great pride in his daily work providing for visitors’ needs and protecting our Nation’s heritage.
In the wake of 9/11, Kris protected his country by intercepting thousands of pounds of illegal drugs, many weapons, and hundreds of illegal lawbreakers from foreign countries, and by guarding a 31-mile stretch of our nation’s southern boundary.
Kris Eggle was shot and killed in the line of duty at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument on August 9, 2002, while pursuing members of a drug cartel hit squad who fled into the United States after committing a string of murders in Mexico.
He was 28 years old.
As a fellow Organ Pipe ranger commented, “Kris died serving his country and his death has great value and meaning. But the life of Kris Eggle, even more than his death, continues to set the standard.”
