A Few Opposing Amnesty ACTION ALERT

Enough of this insanity already - Creating a land of lawlessness for 11 million illegal aliens (their numbers - not mine) in a Country of 300 million plus - What kind of asinine nonsense is that? - No Amnesty - Secure the Border - Enforce the Law

Those opposing this proposed amnesty - just a few the list is growing
*********************************
The push for “comprehensive immigration reform” has not been without opposition. U.S. Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, said yesterday, “The president has demonstrated he will only enforce the laws that he likes.”
Additionally, Congressman Steve Stockman, R-Texas, said, “I will not be supporting the Senate’s proposed ‘immigration reform’ should it reach the House. I cannot and will not support any immigration reform proposal that institutes an amnesty program or does not begin with a comprehensive plan to secure the borders.”
He continued, “It rewards law breaking and encourages a new flood of illegals, perpetuating the very problems it claims to solve.”
He also echoed the point of many other anti-illegal immigration activists by saying, “Our nation’s failed experiments with amnesty have proven it only encourages more illegals willing to wait it out for their turn at free citizenship.”

Congressman Lou Barletta opposes emerging immigration plan
But Barletta, who represents the 11th District, which includes parts of Monroe and Carbon counties, said politics should not be the driver because, in his view, Republicans won’t win the Hispanic vote either way.
“I hope politics is not at the root of why we’re rushing to pass a bill. Anyone who believes that they’re going to win over the Latino vote is grossly mistaken,” Barletta said. “The majority that are here illegally are low-skilled or may not even have a high school diploma. The Republican Party is not going to compete over who can give more social programs out. They will become Democrats because of the social programs they’ll depend on.”

Thanks in good measure to your hard work, it didn’t take long yesterday for voices of reason on Amnesty 2.0 to begin to emerge from Capitol Hill.

Among yesterday’s champions in standing against the amnesty were:

Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Senate Minority Leader

Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL)

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) — see below

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX)

Senator David Vitter (R-LA)

Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX)

Rep. Steve King (R-IA)

Rep. Peter King (R-NY)

It is so important that these Members receive positive feedback when they speak (Tweet, write, etc) against amnesty because it provides them incredible support and, often encourages other Members to do the same. Be sure to check your Action Board for special messages you can send to your Member when if they come out against Amnesty

WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) issued the following statement regarding today’s bipartisan immigration reform proposal:

I appreciate the good work that senators in both parties have put into trying to fix our broken immigration system. There are some good elements in this proposal, especially increasing the resources and manpower to secure our border and also improving and streamlining legal immigration. However, I have deep concerns with the proposed path to citizenship. To allow those who came here illegally to be placed on such a path is both inconsistent with rule of law and profoundly unfair to the millions of legal immigrants who waited years, if not decades, to come to America legally.

Maricopa County, Ariz. Sheriff Joe Arpaio denounced an immigration reform proposal pushed by eight senators as “amnesty” on Tuesday, but said he was happy Washington, D.C. is focusing on the issue.
Arpaio called the fact that immigration was being discussed at all “good,” but said the conversation should be taken to the Latino community.
“I think we should go to the Latino community and talk to those that are here legally and try to get the message across to them.” Arpaio said on CNN. “And where’s the fairness here? Why do you want to give amnesty to those people that came across our border illegally? You’ve got people all over the United States waiting for years and years to come into our great country? I look at it as a fairness issue also, not just a diplomatic, you know, political, law enforcement issue.”

So the ACLU has their own plans for immigration reform, and you’ll never guess what they want to do about border security.
Oh, you guessed?
They want to reduce it.
In response to the proposal by the “Gang of Eight”, the ACLU responded:

The framework released by the ‘Gang of Eight’ rightly includes the creation of a roadmap to citizenship, but also includes provisions that endanger everyone’s civil liberties and do nothing to reverse the recent extraordinary and unwarranted increase in wasteful spending on border security.

WATCHDOGS TODAY: Secret government study exposes infiltration attempts by Mexican drug cartels
An internal study for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security describes 15 incidents in which known associates of Mexican drug cartels tried to inflitrate the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency, according to the Center for Investigative Reporting.
The same study detailed “turf battles, internal dysfunction and other troubles” that have hobbled the agency in its efforts “to get a handle on corruption and other misconduct within its ranks,” CIR said.
The internal study was conducted by the Homeland Securities and Analysis Institute, which is an internal think tank for DHS. The study has been kept under wraps for more than a year, according to CIR. The study’s authors said there may have been many more attempts by drug cartels to infiltrate the U.S. government in addition to the 15 discussed in their document.
“As part of lie detector tests, prospective hires have admitted to drug trafficking, human smuggling and other illegal activity, according to examples the agency previously provided to the Center for Investigative Reporting,” CIR said.

Medicare improperly paid $120M to illegal immigrants, inmates
President Obama told the Congressional Hispanic Caucus on Friday that immigration reform would be one of his top priorities. His comments coincide with a new report by Health and Human Services, which concludes that illegal immigrants and prison inmates have received more than $120 million in Medicare services from 2009-2011, even though they are ineligible for the program.
Nearly 3,000 illegal immigrants made $91.6 million in fraudulent claims for Medicare services over the report’s three-year duration.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Office of the Inspector General indicated that retrieving the money might not be feasible. The report reads: “[CMS] is committed to recovering overpayments … but it must take into account the cost benefit of recoupment activities, including potential appeal costs and the cost of manually reopening these claims.”

From Nov of 2012 - a good reminder
Nearly half of deported criminal immigrants are repeat offenders
Newly released figures from the Office of Immigration Statistics (OIS) identifies criminal illegal aliens are using the international border as a revolving door, and it demonstrates the fact America’s southern border remains extremely porous.
The report cites approximately 188,380 criminal illegal immigrants, an all-time high, were deported in fiscal year 2011. Perhaps even more alarming is the fact OIS said 86,699 (46 percent) of them were previously deported.
Twenty-three percent of these criminals were guilty of drug-related crimes, followed closely by traffic offences (DUI) at 20 percent. Violent crimes were committed by 12 percent of repeat illegal border crossers and finally about seven percent of criminal aliens committed burglary, larceny or fraud.

Burlington man faces charges in Henderson
A Burlington man faces multiple sex offense charges in Henderson.
Fabian Robles Mendoza, 34, was arrested Jan. 8 by the Henderson Police Department and charged with statutory rape of a child over the age of 6, parental role sex offense and indecent liberties with a minor.
Henderson police Lt. Chris Ball said the alleged incident occurred Dec. 18 in Henderson, and Mendoza uses addresses at both 500 JP Taylor Road, Lot 13 in Henderson, and 602 Oak St. in Burlington. Ball said Mendoza “has ties” in both cities.
However, Mendoza does not have United States citizenship, and carries a Mexican identification card, Ball said. “I don’t know what process the courts will do with that,” he said.
Mendoza’s first appearance was Jan. 14, and Ball said a second court date has not yet been set. Mendoza’s original bond was set at $250,000, and Ball said Mendoza is still being held in the Vance County jail.

MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) — At least eight bodies were pulled from a well in northern Mexico on Sunday near the site where 20 people went missing late last week, including members of a Colombian-style band, according to a state forensic official. The Nuevo Leon State Investigative Agency was still working late into the night at the well in a vacant lot in the town of Mina near the northern city of Monterrey, and the body count could rise, said the official.

He spoke on condition of anonymity because he w+as not authorized to discuss the case.

The official could not confirm whether the bodies belonged to 16 members of Kombo Kolombia and their crew, who were reported missing early Friday after playing a private show in a bar late Thursday in the next town, Hidalgo.

Authorities had been searching for two days when they came upon the well Sunday afternoon.

New policy aids illegal-immigrant spouses
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants in the United States will have an easier time gaining legal status because of a policy change from President Barack Obama’s administration.
The change takes effect March 4 and is aimed at undocumented immigrants married to U.S. citizens, such as Xochitl Hernandez, 33, who came to the U.S. illegally 14 years ago and now lives in this Phoenix suburb.
Soon, Hernandez and other undocumented immigrants married to U.S. citizens will be able to apply for a special waiver instead of having to leave the country and face tough penalties before obtaining their legal papers through a U.S. citizen spouse.

Federal Judge Rules that ICE Agents have Standing in Lawsuit Against Federal Government

Federal District Court Judge Reed O’Conner has ruled that 10 ICE agents and officers have standing to challenge in Federal court the so-called Morton Memo on prosecutorial discretion and the DREAM directive on deferred action. The agents filed their complaint in October, charging that unconstitutional and illegal directives from DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and ICE Director John Morton order the agents to violate federal laws or face adverse employment actions. This is a major first step for the ICE agents in their case against the administration.
In his 35-page decision, Judge O’Conner found that the ICE agents and officers have standing, but that the State of Mississippi does not. He has not yet ruled, however, on the agents’ motion for a preliminary injunction to halt implementation of the DHS directives.
The primary impetus for the lawsuit came last June, when Secretary Napolitano issued a memo offering deferred action and employment authorization to illegal aliens under age 31 who meet certain criteria similar to those outlined in the DREAM Act, which has failed to pass Congress on three occasions.
Even before that, though, ICE Director Morton essentially gutted immigration enforcement by issuing a memo on prosecutorial discretion that, in effect, prohibits ICE agents and officers from arresting or removing any but the most violent criminal aliens. Under Morton’s stated policy, most of the 12 million or so illegal aliens that the administration wants to legalize are currently safe from deportation.
This is just one of the reasons that the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council voted unanimously that they have no confidence in Morton’s ability to lead the agency. Aside from ordering ICE agents to not enforce federal immigration laws, Morton has also gutted worksite enforcement and the 287(g) program, which is a cooperative effort between local law enforcement and federal immigration agents.

DHS confirms cheaper to deport every illegal alien than allowing them to stay

On December 3, Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs, Nelson Peacock, responding to request from several U.S. Senators, including Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), wrote: “Our conservative estimate suggests that ICE would require a budget of more than $135 billion to apprehend, detain and remove the nation’s entire illegal immigrant population.”
In July 2010, the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) released the results of a study which examined the costs of illegal immigration at the federal, state and local levels. The study found that U.S. state and local governments shell out $84.2 billion annually in various services (law enforcement, schools, social services, etc.), with California taxpayers alone, spending $21 billion on illegal aliens every year.
The same study found that $29 billion is spent every year in federal funds on illegal aliens.
So, while it would cost a one-time fee of about $135 billion to deport every single illegal alien in the country, it is actually a bargain considering the fact that it already costs us $113 billion annually to keep them here.
In other words, the mass deportation would pay for itself in a little over a year.
Incidentally, in 2007, the DHS estimated the cost of deporting all illegal aliens to be approximately $94 billion.

Suicidal GOP senators join open-borders Dems for Shamnesty Redux

Hey, did someone set the clock back six years in Washington? Because today looks a hell of a lot like the dawn of the Bush-Kennedy-McCain 2007 illegal alien amnesty. Deja vu all over again.

Starring in the role of John McCain this time around? Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubio. Standing in for George W. Bush? Barack H. Obama. The usual liberal Democrat and bend-over Republican suspects serving as the supporting cast? Majority Whip Dick Durbin of Illinois, Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York, illegal alien intern employer Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey, Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, and freshman Arizona Republican Sen. Jeff Flake.

If the Kabuki promise of “securing the border first” sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the same empty, bullcrap promise that shamnesty peddlers have pitched since the Reagan years……

SMASH Obama/Rubio Illegal Alien Golden Parachute and Employment Acts of 2013

After a long rest FLIMEN is back to oppose AMNESTY. Although financially broke and discouraged with the pro-illegal alien, anti-citizen efforts of the Obama Administration there is still plenty of fight left in us.

Citizens have stopped AMNESTY since 2000 and we intent to SMASH Obama/Rubio Illegal Alien Golden Parachute and Employment Acts of 2013. While the bills have yet to be filed and would never be named as such, doesn’t the title seem accurate from a citizen’s perspective? Needless to say this will be our toughest fight ever. To a substantial degree the future of America’s children depend on our efforts.

You will be receiving more FLIMEN Alerts soon and it will be really, really important that you help pressure elected officials by making the targeted calls.

Peggy Kandies shares her ordeal this week on The Ruthie Report

Please join Ruthie this week Jan 31st, 2013 8-10 pm CST
with GUEST: Peggy Kandies
We will be discussing the assault at the hands of an illegal alien.
I have been asked by people… “Ruthie why do the victims of illegal alien crimes
not come forward - why are they not speaking to the media - sharing their ordeals?”
Some would rather not publicly deal with the crime, others just want to forget the
best they can - others have a hard enough time with the aftermath that they just cannot
But there are those out there that do want to share these crimes - those that feel
in some way - if they share - they may educate someone else from the same tragedy
This weeks guest is Peggy Kandies (links below) - attacked and assaulted by an illegal alien. She has been told that her assaulter has been deported - was he?
Has he already returned over that unsecured border?
The Ruthie Report has and will continue to offer the victims - at the hands of someone who should have not been in the USA to begin - a platform - a place - where they can share their ordeals - in the continued efforts of awareness and hopefully as a benefit to
the victims
Special Thanks to Peggy for sharing her terrifying assault with us and
Special Thanks to Brian McElwee for he’s reporting.

Southern border air defense CLOSING and self defense squads in Mexico

Story of man who claims he killed Agent Brian Terry does not add-up
*********************************************

Obama Closing Air Defense System on U.S./Mexico Border: Texas & America Vulnerable to Attack from Low Altitude Missiles and Aircraft

Call your Congressmen and Senators immediately and demand that the recent budget cuts do not affect the security of America’s borders. The Federal Government wastes billions of dollars on things they should not even be involved in, but securing our country’s borders is one of the jobs that the federal government is actually supposed to do!
Obama has always pushed massive cuts in the military as part of any budget cuts he will accept in fiscal deals. Obama seems to be getting what he wants, and it will leave America’s borders vulnerable to attacks and other infiltrations.
Air Force’s Air Defense Radar Systems along U.S./Mexico Border will SHUTDOWN on March 15th, 2013
On January 17th, 2013, Exelis Systems Corporation sent out an email (see email below) to all of its employees informing them that on March 15th, 2013 all TARS Air Defense Mission Operations will permanently cease. These TARS Air Defense sites were under the control of the United States Air Force. On January 15th, 2013, the Air Force informed Exelis (the defense contractor running the TARS sites) that the TARS sites will be shut down. Exelis tried to then negotiate with the Department of Homeland Security to see if they would take over the vital project, but it seems as though those negotiations have failed. What does this mean?
This means the southern border of the United States of America will be more vulnerable to attack from low flying aircrafts, low altitude missiles, and other infiltrations such as smuggling.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, one Exelis employee had this to say about the announced closure of the TARS sites:
“Not only will this closure mean hundreds of people will be out of jobs, but it also means our borders will not be safe, especially along the remote U.S. Mexico Border like in Texas. These defense radars detect low flying aircraft infiltrating our borders. Without these defense radars, low flying aircraft will go undetected. It will be open season for any drug/gun/slave smugglers, terrorists flying in with nukes, low altitude missiles, or even a full scale low elevation invasion/attack against America.”
According to the Air Force’s website, the Tethered Aerostat Radar System, or TARS, is an aerostat-borne, surveillance program. Using the aerostat as a stationary airborne platform for a surveillance radar, the system is capable of detecting low altitude aircraft at the radar’s maximum range by mitigating curvature of the earth and terrain masking limitations. TARS provides a detection and monitoring capability along the United States-Mexico border, the Florida Straits, and a portion of the Caribbean in support of the Department of Defense Counterdrug Program.
The primary agencies using the TARS surveillance data include U.S. Northern Command in support of Customs and Border Protection (Air and Marine Operations Center and Caribbean Air and Marine Operations Center) and U.S. Southern Command in support of Joint Interagency Task Force-South. In addition to its counterdrug mission, TARS surveillance data also supports North American Aerospace Defense Command’s air sovereignty mission for the continental United States.
Email Sent to all Exelis Employees January 17th, 2013 Announcing Closure of TARS Air Defense Sites:
Subject: TARS Contract Update
Tuesday, 15 January 2013, we received a government request for a proposal (RfP) to de-scope and close the TARS program by the end of the fiscal year. The government indicated that it does not intend to exercise the final two option years for the TARS contract. In the RfP, the government also indicated its intent that aerostat flight operations will cease on March 15, 2013, and that the remainder of the fiscal year will be used to deflate aerostats, disposition equipment, and prepare sites for permanent closure. We are currently reviewing all the details of the RfP and evaluating the possible impacts on the program and our workforce. We continue to communicate with the government on this matter, and we will have more information in the coming days and weeks.
The TARS program provides a critical capability to the U.S. government and we should remain focused on providing that service in an uninterrupted and robust manner.
The best thing we can do right now is to continue to provide the outstanding TARS support that has become the Exelis hallmark, while allowing the company and the government time to continue discussions on how to best support the customer, the program, and our workforce. We will provide regular updates as we know more. Should you have a specific question, please address them to Tim Green, Program Manager.

Haltingly, he told how his cousin’s body was found in a mass grave with about 40 other victims of a drug gang. Apparently, the cousin had caught a ride with an off-duty soldier and when gunmen stopped the vehicle, they killed everyone on the car.
“There isn’t one of us who hasn’t felt the pain … of seeing them take a family member and not being able to ever get them back,” said the young civilian self-defense patrol member, who identified himself as “just another representative of the people of the mountain.”
Now he has joined hundreds of other men in the southern Mexico state of Guerrero who have taken up arms to defend their villages against drug gangs, a vigilante movement born of frustration at extortion, killings and kidnappings that local police are unable, or unwilling, to stop.

Sen. Harry Reid: No immigration reform bill without citizenship
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is drawing a line in the sand on any congressional immigration reform proposals: No citizenship, no bill.
“There will be nothing done in my Senate [on immigration reform] without a pathway to citizenship,” the Democrat told the Las Vegas Sun on Thursday.
This could be a problem in the Republican-controlled House, where members have expressed reservations about letting any of the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants who could benefit from an immigration reform bill become citizens.

Muslim group: Illegal Latina immigrants flocking to Islam, taking it south

SOMERSET, N.J. — Tucked away in a quiet rural neighborhood in Somerset, New Jersey is an old brownstone that houses the New Jersey Chapter of the Islamic Center of North America’s (ICNA) WhyIslam Project. Within its confines, in a second floor office decorated with rose-colored walls, sits the administrative assistant and only female employee of the department, Nahela Morales.

In a long black garment and gray headscarf, Morales sits in front of a computer entering notes and taking phone calls from the program’s hotline, 1-877-WhyIslam, a resource for individuals hoping to learn more about the religion. A Mexican immigrant and recent convert, Morales is the national Spanish-language outreach coordinator for the program, part of ICNA’s mission to disseminate information about Islam nationwide.

But Morales’ efforts go beyond U.S. borders: the 37-year-old recently led a trip to bring Islamic literature, food and clothing to her native Mexico.

No amnesty for illegal aliens

Posted: Monday, January 21, 2013 4:15 pm | Updated: 4:20 pm, Mon Jan 21, 2013.
phillyburbs.com

Many in our government, our news organization, our churches, nonprofit organizations, chambers of commerce, etc., are promoting amnesty for illegal aliens. Some even object to the term “illegal alien.” They profess that’s there is nothing we can do about those millions who have broken our laws and taken up residence in our country. Their solution is to fine them, make them learn English and give them a pass to citizenship.

This is a solution? Why, then, should we not open our prison doors to all burglars and home intruders who are being punished as criminals for doing nothing more than the foreign invaders? What is the difference? Home invaders or country invaders, they have all broken our laws. However, one group is punished and the other rewarded.

Presidents Hoover, Truman and Eisenhower saw the danger in allowing foreigners to enter our country illegally. All three were involved in deporting thousands and/or millions of the perpetrators. They had the foresight to see what was happening to our country and the will to do something about it. They put principle and love of country before and above politics.

It was Truman who pushed the Federal Immigration and National Act of 1952 through Congress in the closing days of his administration. The law is very clear. Why isn’t it being enforced? We have illegal alien lawbreakers and lawbreakers (felons) in our own local, state and federal government and institutions who refuse to enforce the law.

The fish rots from the top down. Grave dereliction of duty, willful or negligent failure to perform constitutionally sworn duties, is a cause for impeachment and removal from office. Who in this country or in this Congress has the willingness and spine to start the proceedings on so many of their friends, colleagues and financial supporters? Have we no leaders who are willing to fight to stop our rapid decline into a Third World, lawless country? Does American citizenship mean so little to the sleeping masses?

David slew Goliath. Where is our David in 2013? Raise your voices, Americans. We won’t be heard if we don’t speak up.

Sheriff To Texas Border Town: ‘Arm Yourselves’

by West Texas Weekly on August 8, 2010

Last week, residents held a town-hall meeting in Fort Hancock, Texas — a sleepy agricultural town on the border, about an hour southeast of El Paso, that looks like the bleak set of No Country for Old Men.
A couple hundred people crowded into the grade-school gym to hear a chilling message from Hudspeth County Sheriff Arvin West.
“You farmers, I’m telling you right now, arm yourselves,” he said. “As they say the old story is, it’s better to be tried by 12 than carried by six. Damn it, I don’t want to see six people carrying you.”
His warning was prompted by the killing of the Arizona rancher, and the spiraling violence a couple of miles away in Mexico in a region known as the Valley of Juarez. The notorious smuggling territory is being fought over by the Sinaloa and the Juarez cartels.
“One of the men that works for me had five people killed in front of his house over there [in Mexico] this past weekend,” says Curtis Carr, who is a farmer and county commissioner. “And he’s moving his family over here this week. It’s serious over there. Whether or not it’s gonna spill over here, I don’t know.”

My name is Arvin West. I currently hold the office of Sheriff for Hudspeth County, Texas. I have held the office of Sheriff since December 2000. I was born and raised in Sierra Blanca, Texas. I call Hudspeth County my home, and have been acquainted with the border area all my life. I am proud to be an American and will defend this county with all that I can do.

I have been in law enforcement since 1983, and this line of work has been my passion since beginning my career. I have worked along the border with Mexico since I began in law enforcement and I have seen many changes over the years.
