Obama releases illegal aliens, DOJ strikes again and more

Say No To Amnesty Petition
****************************************

We petition the Obama Administration to: Deport illegal alien Jose Antonio Vargas

As a naturalized citizen I know that Mr. Vargas is not an immigrant; immigrants comply with the laws, and respectfully assimilate into society. Vargas has confessed his violations of the laws. He shows no remorse for his illegal actions; his narcissistic attitude, along with his seemingly proud violation of the law, sets an immoral example for those here illegally. Immigration systems are created to protect our citizens, economy and sovereignty. As a new citizen I ask the WH to command law enforcement agents to proceed with the arrest and deportation of illegal alien Jose Antonio Vargas. This command must be a clear message to all those willing to diminish genuine immigration and promote division, sedition and sabotage against the America people.

Illegal immigrants set free from detention centers as sequester approaches
The sequester is officially still three days away, but the Obama administration already is making the first cuts, with officials confirming that the Homeland Security Department already has released several hundred illegal immigrants from detention in order to save money.
The move is proving controversial. Immigrant-rights groups say it shows the administration was detaining folks it never should have gone after in the first place, while Republicans questioned the decision-making.
2.
Mass Release of Immigrants Is Tied to Impending Cuts
“It’s abhorrent that President Obama is releasing criminals into our communities to promote his political agenda on sequestration,” said Mr. Goodlatte, who, as chairman of the Judiciary Committee, is running the House hearings on immigration reform. “By releasing criminal immigrants onto the streets, the administration is needlessly endangering American lives.”

MEXICO CITY (AP) — The head of Mexico’s powerful teachers’ union was arrested at an airport near Mexico City Tuesday for alleged embezzlement, with federal officials accusing her of using union funds to pay for plastic surgery, to buy a house in San Diego and even to pay her bill at Neiman Marcus.

Attorney General Jesus Murillo Karam said that Elba Esther Gordillo, who has led the 1.5 million-member National Union of Education Workers for 23 years, was detained in Toluca on charges that she embezzled 2 billion pesos (about $160 million) from union funds.

Belgian killed in Mexico had been threatened

MEXICO CITY (AP) — What had seemed to be another attack on a tourist in Acapulco appeared to turn into something a bit more involved but equally sinister on Monday, when the company of a Belgian businessman shot to death in the Pacific resort over the weekend said he had received death threats following a legal dispute with a former business associate.

The killing of Belgian Jan Sarens outside a shopping center on Saturday cast a pall over this once-glittering but now violence-plagued resort, which is preparing to host the Mexican Open tennis tournament this week. It was the second violent attack involving foreigners in Acapulco in less than three weeks. On Feb. 4, a band of masked gunmen invaded a beachfront home and raped six visiting Spanish women.

Illegal immigration: What exactly does a ‘secure’ border look like?

Once, the barren mesas and shrub-covered canyons that extend east of the Pacific Ocean held the most popular routes for illegal immigrants heading into the U.S. Dozens at a time sprinted to waiting cars or a trolley stop in San Diego, passing border agents who were too busy herding others to give pause.
Now, 20 years after that onslaught, crossing would mean scaling two fences (one topped with coiled razor wire), passing a phalanx of agents and eluding cameras positioned to capture every incursion.

McCain compares immigrants, speeders
During his at-times raucous town-hall-style meeting in Sun Lakes last week, U.S. Sen. John McCain compared immigrants now in the United States illegally to traffic speeders, saying they should be allowed to get straight with the law by paying a penalty and taking other steps.
“All of us, from time to time, I think with rare exception, unfortunately, have broken the law,” McCain, R-Ariz., on Tuesday told the crowd of more than 150 people in the retirement community near Chandler. “Mine was while driving an automobile at an excessive speed. I paid a fine. I paid a fine. I had to go to (traffic) school. Some of us might remember that experience.”

James Johnson bio
1978- Graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University -degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology- aircraft mechanic
1981- United States Air Force- Flight Simulator Technician
1984-2005- Private sector as an electronic equipment technician and electrician
I was injured on the job in 2005 and during the years of recovery from injuries, I became more and more aware of the illegal alien situation.
It started slowly. First it was having to press “1” for English every time I called a doctors office or medical clinic. It seemed everywhere you turned, stores were having signs in English and Spanish and products were being labeled with both languages. I would see non-English speaking people buying groceries with “food stamp cards” and paying for their alcohol with wads of cash. I started to notice more and more crimes by non-English speaking people as well as illegal aliens marching in the streets demanding “rights”.
The tipping point was when my son’s college professor at Campbell University, Mr. Lewis M. Fetterman Jr, was killed in a car accident by an illegal alien in Newton Grove. Mr. Fetterman and his wife were simply coming home from a weekend at the beach, when an intoxicated illegal alien slammed into them with his car. The individual had no license and no insurance and it was later determined that he was here illegally.
I started NCFIRE to try do something to stop the wasteful spending of our tax money and the needless killing of NC citizens by illegal aliens.
NCFIRE stands for North Carolinians For Immigration Reform and Enforcement. While very similar sounding to the FIRECoalition, we are not affiliated with or part of The FIRECoalition. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization with over 6,000 members and we are in daily contact with 30-40 thousand NC citizens through various social networks.

Mexico requests registry of US gun owners, McCain, Numbers and more

Are you kidding me
Why Is Mexico Asking the U.S. Senate for a Registry of U.S. Gun Owners?
Mexican lawmakers will ask the U.S. Senate to create a registry of all commercialized firearms in border states, which includes California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Mexico says it will make it easier to trace guns used in violent attacks.

The measure was reportedly approved on January 9 by Mexico’s Permanent Commission, a government entity that meets when Mexico’s Senate and the Chamber of Deputies is in recess. Gun owners in Arizona are calling the proposal “foolish” and an “invasion of privacy.”

How the Obama Administration Inflates Deportation Statistics

Tuesday, February 12, 2013, 9:30 AM EST - posted on NumbersUSA

For the last few years, the Obama Administration has claimed that it’s deporting a record number of illegal aliens. But, the Administration is adding numbers to its overall deportation statistics that have not been historically included in the total number of annual deportations. Here’s a look at how the Obama Administration has artificially inflated the number of deportations.

Don’t worry, food stamps won’t affect citizenship chances
The United States Department of Agriculture has been working to dispel immigrants’ concerns that getting on Food Stamps will harm their chances of becoming U.S. citizens.
The USDA addresses those fears in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or food stamp, brochures it distributes to Mexican consulates as part of its “partnership” with the Mexican government “to help educate eligible Mexican nationals living in the United States about available nutrition assistance.”
In one portion of the brochure, USDA’s text asks, “If I get on SNAP benefits, will I be a ‘public charge?’” The brochure then answers: “No. You and your family can apply for and receive SNAP benefits without hurting your chance of becoming U.S. citizens.”

STOP “COMPREHENSIVE” IMMIGRATION FLOOD BILL

The ‘Gang of Eight’ Open Borders Senators, and an ideologically compatible Group of House members are working, now behind closed doors, to flesh out the Details of their so-called Comprehensive Immigration ‘Reform’ Bill.

‘Comprehensive’ and ‘Reform’ are Washington words that should send Chills up every American’s spine. Paraphrasing Will Rogers, it means that “the Congress is back from vacation and we definitely are not safe!!!”

It now appears that once these Bills are introduced, the Open Borders lobby will try to Ram them through Blitzkrieg-Style, to shut off rational consideration.

Illegal alien charged with killing dog with chainsaw in Georgia
On Sunday, Richmond County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call in the 2000 block of Chester Ave., in Augusta, and found a man covered in blood, who admitted to killing his neighbor’s dog, Zuru.
The man, Pablo Chaves, 35, told deputies that he had just shot the dog twice with a 12-gauge shotgun, according to the arrest report.
However, when deputies investigated, they found the Rottweiler lying dead with a large gash on his neck. A bloody chainsaw was next to the dog’s body.
Chaves then claimed he could not remember what happened.
Zuru’s owner, Rolanda Jackson, told The Augusta Chronicle: “We thought he had run away. I couldn’t believe that he did it.”
Jackson actually learned of Zuru’s fate through an online report of the crime.
Chaves has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and discharge of a firearm on or near a public highway.
He is currently being held in the Richmond County Jail on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.

Mexican Drug Cartel Kingpin, Is Chicago’s New Public Enemy No. 1
CHICAGO — A drug kingpin in Mexico who has never set foot in Chicago has been named the city’s new Public Enemy No. 1 – the same notorious label assigned to Al Capone at the height of the Prohibition-era gang wars.
The Chicago Crime Commission announced the move Thursday, saying it considers Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman even more menacing than Capone because he’s the leader of the Sinaloa cartel, which supplies most of the narcotics sold in the city.
“What Al Capone was to beer and whiskey during Prohibition, Guzman is to narcotics,” said Art Bilek, the commission’s executive vice president. “Of the two, Guzman is by far the greater threat. … And he has more power and financial capability than Capone ever dreamed of.”
The commission – a non-government body that tracks city crime trends – designated Capone Public Enemy No. 1 in 1930. It has declared other outlaws public enemies, but Capone was the only one deemed No. 1.
Until now.

Man charged with DWI in fatal crash on icy road
A Charlotte man was charged with driving while impaired after a fatal crash on an icy portion of Tyvola Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police say they are taking into account all contributing factors to the crash, but 23-year-old Bairon Josue Sandoval is accused od driving drunk.
Tatiana Rivera, 20 was killed and two other people were injured, one seriously.
Police say around 3 a.m. Sandoval was driving the 2000 Nissan Frontier Truck westbound on Tyvola Road when he lost control near Interstate 77 and struck a tree. Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene. The other occupants of the truck were transported to Carolinas Medical Center.
In addition to DWI, Sandoval was charged with felony death by vehicle, felony serious injury by vehicle and with driving without an operator’s license.
He was in Mecklenburg jail under a $53,500 bond on Sunday. Immigration officials also suspect he is in the country illegally, which means he would remain in jail even if he posted bond.
Police say there were icy areas on that section of Tyvola Road early Sunday. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Police encourage anyone with information about the crash to call the Major Crash Investigation Unit at 704-432-2169 or Crime Stoppers at 704-344-1600.

Grenade attack at U.S. Consulate in Mexico - National drug cartel

www.examiner.com/article/grenade-attack-at-u-s-consulate-mexico

Thursday, the Dallas News reported:
Three grenades exploded Thursday evening in Nuevo Laredo, just feet from the U.S. Consulate office, sources in the Mexican border city said.
No injuries were reported, but the explosions rattled the neighborhood, as locals scurried for cover amid a firefight between what’s believed to be members of the Zetas criminal group and their former allies, the Gulf cartel, which is making a push to reclaim the territory.
The two groups appear to be battling, leaving a trail of killings and burned houses. In recent days, sources said, seven people have been killed — three of them Americans — and five homes torched.
The U.S. Consulate issued an alert, and Mexican soldiers were deployed to guard the building.
This is the second time in three years, an explosion has rocked the U.S. facility.
In April 2010, someone tossed an explosive device onto the grounds of the U.S. consulate in Nuevo Laredo. The bomb broke windows and caused some minor damage, but no injuries were reported.
Nuevo Laredo is just across the river from Laredo, TX.
In March 2010, U.S. consulate employees in Juarez were murdered in targeted attacks, after leaving a child’s birthday party.
In two separate attacks, cartel gunmen murdered two Americans attached to the consulate. Authorities believe that members of the Mexican drug gang known as the Aztecas actually carried out the attacks.
Lesley Enriquez Redelfs, a consulate employee, along with her husband, Arthur Redelfs, a detention officer with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department were gunned down as they were leaving a child’s birthday party. The couple was murdered after being chased-down by the hit men. Their baby daughter who was in the backseat survived the assault.
Also shot to death in the coordinated attacks was the husband of consulate worker, Jorge Salcido Ceniceros, after gunmen boxed-in his car. His wife, Hilda Antillon, was traveling in the car behind him and was uninjured, though the couple’s two children were wounded in the attack.
The hit squads used AK-47s as well as 9mm handguns.
