A federal judge in Texas is accusing the Department of
Homeland Security of hand-delivering children smuggled into the United States to their illegal immigrant parents.
U.S. District Judge Andrew S. Hanen
revealed the practice in a blistering court order filed late last week. He said the “dangerous” practice is effectively aiding human traffickers and particularly the drug cartels, which run many of these operations.
“These actions are both dangerous and unconscionable,” he wrote.
The judge attempted to lift the curtain on what is happening behind the scenes of the Obama administration’s changing approach to immigration enforcement. It has been well-documented that DHS is allowing some illegal immigrants already inside the country to skirt deportation, and particularly those who came to the U.S. as children.
But the “conspiracy” outlined by Hanen would take that controversial
policy a big step further. He detailed the case of an illegal immigrant parent in Virginia, but used that as an entry point to describe what he suggested was a broader program.
Hanen claimed that, in more than one case before his court, immigration officials are arresting human traffickers smuggling children into the U.S. — and then “delivering the minors to the custody of the parent illegally living in the United States.”
“The DHS has simply chosen not to enforce the United States’ border security laws,” he wrote.
Further, he said this is simply encouraging risky smuggling operations. “Time and again this court has been told by representatives of the government and the defense that cartels control the entire smuggling process,” Hanen wrote. “… the government is not only allowing [illegal immigrants in the U.S.] to fund the illegal and evil activities of these cartels, but is also inspiring them to do so.”
He added: “To put this in another context, the DHS policy is as logical as taking illegal drugs or weapons that it has seized from smugglers and delivering them to the criminals who initially solicited their illegal importation/exportation. Legally, this situation is no different.”
Representatives with the Department of Homeland Security and other immigration agencies have not yet returned a request for comment on the judge’s statement.
Chris Crane, president of the National ICE Council union, told FoxNews.com the judge’s claims are “absolutely correct.”
“This is exactly what’s happening,” he said, describing how agents “can’t keep up” with the number of minors crossing the border, either by themselves or in the custody of smugglers. Crane said immigration officials, then, are tasked with finding a place for the children to go.
“That’s what we do now. We babysit kids and change diapers,” he said. “It’s out of control.”
Crane said the best short-term solution would be to return the children to the family members they were staying with in their home country.
The judge’s statement was prompted by the case of Mirtha Veronica Nava-Martinez. She was arrested at the Texas-Mexico border in May and pleaded guilty to trying to smuggle a 10-year-old child originally from El Salvador. After the sentencing, the judge wrote, he decided to
go public with additional details from the case.
He wrote that the “conspiracy” started when an illegal immigrant in Virginia hired smugglers to get her daughter from El Salvador to Virginia. She paid $6,000 in advance. But after the smuggling operation was interrupted by federal agents, he wrote, “the DHS delivered the child to her.”
Further, he wrote, this was the fourth case he’d seen in as many weeks along these lines. In one case, he claimed, the U.S. government “flew a child to multiple locations” in the U.S. at the expense of U.S. taxpayers. “This is an absurd and illogical result,” he wrote.
The judge noted that after the court inquired about the incidents, a federal prosecutor apparently “requested” that the mother in Virginia be placed in immigration proceedings. He said it’s unclear whether that has happened, and he’s been told the government will not pursue prosecution.
Hanen wrote that he is “not unsympathetic” to the parents in these cases, but noted the danger these children are put in.
“If [DHS officials] persist in this policy, more children are going to be harmed, and the DHS will be partly responsible because it encourages this kind of Russian roulette,” he wrote.

In a showdown between military veterans (including disabled vets) and illegal aliens, the United States Senate sided with illegal aliens.
The budget bill now being considered by the Senate includes some painful cuts in government spending. Among those being asked to endure some pain are our military veterans, who will see their pensions trimmed by some $6 billion over the next ten years. Among those not being asked to endure the pain of fiscal austerity are illegal aliens who reap huge rewards from the federal government under the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC).
According to a report by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration,
about 2.3 million “individuals who are not authorized to work in the United States” collected $4.2 billion from the ACTC program in 2010. In fact,
72 percent of people filing tax returns using Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs) claimed the child tax credit. A significant chunk of this money paid to illegal aliens from the Federal Treasury was doled out on behalf of kids who do not even live in the U.S., or may be entirely fictitious.
Nevertheless, when Sen. Jeff Session (R-Ala.) tried to offer an amendment that would have restored pension benefits to military veterans by eliminating ACTC benefits to tax filers who lack valid Social Security numbers, it was blocked by Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), as he has done in the past. By a 54-46 vote, the Senate prevented amendment from being offered claiming that doing so could upset a delicate House-Senate agreement worked out by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.).

A group of Republican lawmakers has renewed an effort to undo pension cuts to
military retirees included in the recently passed budget agreement and offset the costs by reining in an IRS credit that illegal immigrants have claimed.
The bipartisan budget agreement, which scales back some of the sequester-driven spending cuts, was approved by the Democratic-controlled Senate Wednesday on a vote of 64-36, six days after clearing the Republican-run House by a similarly bipartisan margin of 332-94.

13 states raising pay for minimum-wage workers
The retail-worker strikes that swept the nation in 2013 did not move Congress to raise the minimum wage, but a growing number of states are taking action.
The minimum wage will rise in 13 states this week, and as many as 11 states and Washington, D.C., are expected to consider increases in 2014, according to the National Employment Law Project. Approval is likely in more than half of the 11, says NELP policy analyst Jack Temple.
Just wondering a few things on this tidbit of info
A few thoughts - of many - on this issue.
1. Why not return competitiveness to the work place - by enforcing our immigration laws approx (as it has been suggested) 8 million Americans would be able to return to the work force instead of watching illegal aliens filling the positions?
2. Are those marching in the streets illegal aliens themselves - you have no right to demand anything in this Country?
3. Are illegal alien workers going to gain from increased minimum wages thru -what is appreciated but labeled- low skill or retail positions… while those in different work settings see no wage increase?
4. Wouldn’t the economy and struggling American and Legal Resident families be better served if they were working versus unemployed and then the positions that will most likely and are demanding an increase be then returned to high school and college students would supplement their future goals?

5. If businesses are going to have to pay more for labor - then it defeats the purpose of hiring illegal aliens for cheap labor - doesn’t it??? So if forced to continue raising wages will Companies again start hiring their fellow Americans, neighbors, families and friends versus illegal aliens

While there are thousands of crimes committed by illegal aliens annually in this country, there are a few that are so heinous and devastating to the victims (or to their survivors), that they standout and become real-life advertisements for border enforcement.
What follows is a list of some of the most depraved illegal aliens apprehended in 2013:
-Illegal alien charged with killing 6-year-old Cub Scout in Texas
On Jan. 24, San Antonio police arrested Luis Enrique Landin after he reportedly hit 6-year-old Brandon Abrams as he waited on the sidewalk for the ice cream truck’s daily visit.
Landin’s Ford Ranger pick up truck jumped the curb and struck the little boy as he sat on his bicycle in the 9300 block of Autumn Sunrise, according to police.
A witness, Jane Withers, saw the crash from her house and immediately ran to the boy.
The impact was so great that it knocked the little boy our of his
shoes.
Withers told the
San Antonio Express: “I saw (Brandon) fly in the air and hit the ground. I’ve never seen anyone fly through the air so much. … He was doing the right thing, riding on the sidewalk.”
Abrams was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at University Hospital.
Landin was charged with intoxication manslaughter and driving without a license.
-Illegal alien killed dog with chainsaw in Georgia
On Feb. 17, Richmond County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call in the 2000 block of Chester Ave., in Augusta, and found a man covered in blood, who admitted to killing his neighbor’s dog, Zuru.
The man,
Pablo Chaves, 35, told deputies that he had just shot the dog twice with a 12-gauge shotgun, according to the
arrest report.
However, when deputies investigated, they found the Rottweiler lying dead with a large gash on his neck. A bloody chainsaw was next to the dog’s body.
Chaves then claimed he could not remember what happened.
The illegal alien was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and discharge of a firearm on or near a public highway.
-Arizona woman killed trying to protect daughter from illegal alien child rapist
On April 3, deputies with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) arrested Jose Zarate, 25, after he reportedly shot a woman to death who was trying to defend her daughter.
Authorities say an argument ensued after the suspect, 25-year-old Jose Zarate, went to 31-year-old Maria Saucedo’s home around 9:30 p.m.
When the two began fighting about Zarate wanting to have a romantic relationship with Saucedo’s 13-year-old daughter, he pulled out a rifle and shot her in the chest at close range — in the presence of the teen.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio stated: “How awful this is that a mother loses her life in the process of defending her daughter’s honor.”
Zarate has been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault and prohibited weapon possession.
-Illegal alien raped, murdered 9-month-old baby in Washington
On June 8, police in Barstow, Calif., arrested Jose Luis Aguilar, 36, at a Greyhound bus station after he reportedly sexually assaulted and beat his girlfriend’s baby daughter to death.
A day earlier, the baby’s mother, Jennifer Reedy, 31, awoke to find her daughter lying dead in her crib.
Aguilar was gone, as was Reedy’s car and money from her purse.
Police were able to find Aguilar using the GPS in his cellphone.
At a press conference, Benton County prosecutor Andy Miller, told reporters: “It appears that Mr. Aguilar was on his way to flee to Mexico.”
Reedy called 911 at 9:57 a.m. Friday from her house at 29 Log Lane in Richland to report that she found Serenity purple in color and cold to the touch, the affidavit said. Medics found Serenity not breathing and pronounced her dead at the scene. An autopsy performed Saturday by Dr. Carl Wigren, a forensic pathologist from Seattle, showed Serenity died from “abusive head trauma,” said Benton County Coroner John Hansens.
The autopsy also revealed a cut and injuries to the girl’s vaginal area, the affidavit said.
Aguilar has been charged with first-degree rape of a child as well as second-degree degree murder.
-Illegal alien knocked 93-year-old woman’s teeth out, while raping her
On July 24, Douglas County prosecutors charged Sergio Martinez-Perez, 19 with first-degree murder, after 93-year-old rape victim Louise Sollowin died in an Omaha hospital, a day earlier.
The woman was found bloodied, with several serious injuries.
The woman’s daughter, who also lives in the residence, called 911. Officers said they discovered Perez nude and on top of the woman in a bedroom that had blood on the “walls, floor, ceiling and bed.”
The prosecution said that Perez admitted to police that he beat and raped the victim “because he was angry at women after a night of drinking.”
The victim’s cheekbones, nose and several teeth were broken in the ordeal.
Perez, who speaks only Spanish, is employed as a roofer.
Sollowin lived in the home where the brutal attack took place for 71 years.
-13 year-old girl raped by more than a dozen illegal aliens in Texas
On July 17, police in Austin arrested two Mexican nationals who reportedly participated in the gang-rape of a 13-year-old girl on June 29.
The girl, a runaway, who lives at the Settlement Home for Children, was picked up by three Latino men and driven to the Avalon Arms apartments, where she was raped by a large group of men for several hours, according to police.
As many as 13 men took turns sexually assaulting the girl. Many cheered and filmed the sickening crime on their cell phones, according to court documents.
Juan Lozano Ortega, 25, and Edgar Gerardo Guzman Perez, 26, have been charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
The affidavit states the assault lasted until early into the morning of June 30, then the victim was driven to a nearby neighborhood and told to “find somewhere to go.”
Police say they were able to track Ortega and Perez from the phone call the girl made to her foster brother with their cell phone. She was able to make it back on her own to the settlement home.
The girl was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors determined her injuries were consistent with her allegations.
-Illegal alien raped, murdered his own mother in Florida
On Sept. 6, Broward County prosecutors stated that 23-year-old Gerard Lopes Belmonte’s motive for killing his adoptive mother, was to cover up the fact that he had just raped her.
DNA tests showed Lopes’ semen was found inside his 43-year-old mother’s body, said Assistant State Attorney Adriana Alcalde.
The badly beaten body of Natalie Belmonte was found in a marsh near the Pembroke Pines home she shared with her son.
Lopes reported his mother missing three days earlier.
Lopes, who has been charged with first-degree murder, was reportedly brought here illegally from South America when he was a small boy.
-Illegal alien raped deaf/mute woman in Florida
On Nov. 27, police in DeLand arrested Juan Corona-Martinez, 27, after he reportedly raped a woman in her home.
The 37-year-old victim, cannot hear or speak.
On November 18, the woman and Corona-Martinez attended a birthday party of a mutual friend. Afterwards, the suspect along with two other people went back to the victim’s home, for a late dinner.
The two friends left and Corona-Martinez stayed behind, according to court documents.

“The woman told police she kept telling Corona-Martinez that she did not want to have sex with him, but that Corona-Martinez “did not care”, forcing her into the bedroom so that they could have sex.”
The following day, police were called to Florida Hospital DeLand, where the woman sought medical treatment, and a rape kit was performed.
Under questioning, Corona-Martinez initially claimed that he never touched the woman, but later changed his story, claiming the victim initiated the sex.
Corona-Martinez also admitted to being in the country illegally, according to police.
Corona-Martinez has been charged with sexual battery.
Unfortunately, this type of deparavity and carnage will continue to take place throught the next the year, and every year that follows, until we gain a president and Congress with enough integrity and regard for the law to see to it that our laws are actually enforced.

PERRY, Iowa —A toddler has been found sitting along a state highway in frigid central Iowa.
Authorities say someone spotted the little boy Sunday afternoon on Iowa Highway 141 west of Perry and took him to Dallas County Hospital in Perry. The National Weather Service says it was about 10 degrees at the time, with a wind chill of minus 8.
The child’s baby sitter, 31-year-old Catalina Ortiz-Ortega, of Guthrie Center, soon arrived at the hospital. She told authorities that she’d been driving in the area earlier in the day, heard a rear door of the vehicle open and close but didn’t realize the child had fallen out.
She’s charged with felony child endangerment. A home phone listing for her couldn’t be found. Online court records don’t list her attorney’s name.

On Saturday, President Barack Obama’s Twitter account asked over 40 million of Obama’s Twitter followers to donate to Organizing for Action to help the group wage war for amnesty next year.
Obama’s Twitter account sent his followers to a website run by Organizing for Action (OFA), the “grassroots” group that formed out of Obama’s 2012 campaign to help him pass his policy objectives.
“We are close to helping pass historic once-in-a-generation comprehensive immigration reform,” the landing page says. “Chip in today to support this fight.” The site encourages visitors to donate $15 to $1,000 or more.
Obama said it was “
frustrating” that he failed to pass amnesty, which he said was his biggest goal of 2013.
Obama is a national disgrace - asking people to fund lawlessness - Instead why does he not twitter his supporters and ask them to donate their hard earned dollars (I REFUSE) to the Countries from which illegal aliens are fleeing and make things better there NOT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obama should immediately be removed from office for aiding and abetting and dereliction of duty to the American.
